Body Shaping

Medical advances help with body reshaping

We would all like a more perfect body but sometimes there are parts of our body that cause us real unhappiness. More men and women than ever are now turning to cosmetic surgey as a simple, effective way to improve their appearance, increase confidence and self esteem.

Research is proving that looking good makes us feel better. There is increasing evidence to suggest that successful cosmetic surgery has important psychological benefits contributing to the feeling of well being, happiness and performance.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Body changes caused by pregnancy or weight loss may result in excess fatty tissue and skin folds. Simple cosmetic procedures are used to remove these. If overweight for a long period of time, you often find that the skin has been stretched, sometimes causing stretch marks and the muscles underneath have been pulled out of shape, rather like an elastic band being pulled tight too often, and becoming slack, so it will not return to its normal shape.

Liposuction / Liposculpture

This is sometimes the only way to remove fatty tissue from problem areas: tummy, hips, outer and inner thighs, buttocks, knees, ankles, arms, chin and cheeks. It is usually performed under local anaesthetic as a day case giving immediate results with the minimum of side effects.
