Hydrafill - Frequently asked questions
back to previous page
A natural protein (Hylauronic Acid) that acts in just the same way as Collagen, to plump out the wrinkles on the face neck and chest. It freshens up the appearance, creating a younger look.
Is Hydrafill safe?
Yes, Hydrafill has FDA and Dept of Health approval. It has been used safely and effectively to treat thousands of men and women since 1996. It can be used immediately without the need for a skin test.
How does Hydrafill work?
Hylauronic Acid is deposited in specific layers of the dermis to create fullness and to replace what age and the environment have taken away.
How long does a Hydrafill treatment take?
About 10 minutes or longer depending on the quantity of product necessary to achieve the desired result.
Does it hurt?
Some areas, for example, round the mouth are more sensitive than others - so local anaesthetic cream can be applied.
Are there any side-effects?
Side effects are rare and if they do occur they are temporary.
Allergic reactions are very rare.
There will be a small amount of initial swelling and some redness both of which will normally disappears within 24 hours.
Some people with very fine skin could have a slight bruise.
Cheshire Images' patient satisfaction rate is extremely high.
What happens next?
The results are immediately visible and appear at their best approximately two weeks later. An after treatment facial may be beneficial. Cheshire Images can advise on this. It is recommended that top-up treatments are received before the effects of the initial treatment have faded totally.
Choosing between the dermal fillers is judged by your nurse's experience, the individual's sense of urgency, personal preference, ethical beliefs and cost effectiveness.
