Any cosmetic procedure that will involve a change in your appearance needs to be given thought. Here at The Cheshire Image Clinic, we are trained in pre and post-cosmetic surgery counselling and will be happy to discuss all aspects of any treatment that you are considering, whether this be surgical or non-surgical.
The decision to undertake any form of cosmetic surgery is an important one. Many people take years to summon up the courage to take the first steps. Friends and family may not understand your concerns.
We would all like a more perfect body but sometimes there are parts of our body that cause us real unhappiness. More men and women than ever are now turning to cosmetic surgery as a simple, effective way to improve their appearance, increase confidence and self esteem.
Research is proving that looking good makes us feel better. There is increasing evidence to suggest that successful cosmetic surgery has important psychological / mental benefits contributing to the feeling of well being, happiness and performance.
Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Body changes caused by pregnancy or weight loss may result in excess fatty tissue and skin folds. Simple cosmetic procedures are used to remove these. If overweight for a long period of time, you often find that the skin has been stretched, sometimes causing stretch marks and the muscles underneath have been pulled out of shape, rather like an elastic band being pulled tight too often, and becoming slack, so it will not return to its normal shape.
This is sometimes the only way to remove fatty tissue from problem areas: tummy, hips, outer and inner thighs, buttocks, knees, ankles, arms, chin and cheeks. It is usually performed under local anaesthetic as a day case giving immediate results with the minimum of side effects.
Many women are conscious of the size or shape of their breasts. Whether you think your breasts are too large, too small or not as firm as you would like, they can be a source of great embarrassment, making you feel unfeminine and unattractive.
It is not surprising then that breast surgery is one of The Cheshire Image Clinic’s most common surgical procedures. It can be performed under either general or local anaesthetic with sedation
Breast Enlargement / Augmentation – breasts may be enlarged giving a fuller, more rounded appearance using implants to give you the shape you desire
Breast Reduction – women with overlarge heavy breasts may benefit from this procedure helping to ease discomfort and alleviate possible future health concerns
Breast Uplift / Lift – also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to lift and reshape sagging breasts.
Face Lift – a face lift provides an almost instant answer to facial sagging which is perhaps the most visible sign of ageing. New techniques give very pleasing aesthetic results with minimal scarring.
Eye Bag Removal (Blepharoplasty) – a simple technique known as blepharoplasty can remove the excess skin and fatty deposits from the eye area. Our qualified Consultants will help determine how the best results would be achieved by treating the lower area, the upper lids, or both.
Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty) – re-aligns the nose so that it is in proportion with the contours of the face. Reasons for reshaping may include correction of damage resulting from injury, hereditary factors or breathing difficulties.
Ear Reshaping (Otoplasty) – surgical ear pinning is a permanent procedure which can be performed on both young people and adults. It is often used to rectify a distressing condition.
