Please consider the following, as well as appointment availability, when planning your treatment –
It is important to:

  • Avoid extensive UV exposure before and after your appointment
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs (except prescription medication) prior to treatment.
  • Avoid booking treatment a minimum of one week before a special event.

Avoid the following beauty treatments 2 weeks prior to treatment and 2 weeks after treatment – *please note this list is not exhaustive, and we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.

  • Sun beds and/or Spray tans
  • CACI non-surgical facelifts
  • Abrasive facial treatments (e.g. microdermabrasion) and Chemical/Fruit Acid peels
  • Micro pigmentation/semi-permanent make up treatments
  • Facial and head massages (e.g. Indian Head Massage)
  • Laser treatments (e.g. skin resurfacing, IPL hair removal)

You can wear make up to your appointment – this will be removed prior to treatment. Mineral make up can only be reapplied at the discretion of the practitioner.

We also ask that you bring a full and up to date list of medications you may be taking at the time of your appointment, as well as information regarding any allergies you may suffer from and any changes in your health since your last appointment.

This aftercare list is not exhaustive – we have merely highlighted a few aspects that may help you to decide when to book in for treatment. Please remember that everyone is unique – therefore these time frames represent only an average to serve as a helpful guideline. Detailed after-care information will be provided by your practitioner at your appointment.

BOTOX®

Immediately following treatment, you may notice some redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness. These are normal reactions and healing periods will differ between patients.

Never use ice-packs to treat the affected area.

While it is safe to resume normal daily activities (such as driving etc.) immediately following Botox treatments, we do advise the following precautions

2-4 hours following Botox Treatment

  • Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas.
  • Avoid lying down, sleeping or bending over.
  • Avoid exercise, yoga and swimming.

2-3 days following Botox Treatment

Avoid using cleansers, toners and moisturisers on the treated areas.

Gentle facials (excluding massage treatments) may be given 3 days after treatment.

Hyperhidrosis patients should avoid the use of anti-perspirants and deodorants.

3-10 days following Botox Treatment

A result of your treatment may take up to 3-10 days to become visible.

4 weeks following Botox Treatment

A booster or top-up treatment may be required after one month.

2-4 months following Botox Treatment

Botox results are temporary. Most patients will see the effects of their treatment lasting between 3 and 4 months. The effectiveness of Botox will last longer with successive treatments.

Dermal Filler

It is important to avoid touching the treated area for about 6 hours. We also advise that you apply make-up and cleanse your face very gently only after a minimum of 6 hours.

Normal activities can be resumed immediately following treatment but we do advise avoiding placing any pressure of the treated area for at least the remainder of the day – e.g. strenuous exercise, laying down on one side of the face.

Bruising, swelling, tenderness and redness are normal reactions following treatment. This can last for a few days. During this time treated areas may look uneven – this is not the final result of the treatment. Vitamin K cream can be used following direction by your practitioner.

Firmness in the treated area is also normal, and this will soften over time.

Never use ice-packs to treat the affected area.

It is important to avoid UV exposure until redness and swelling has subsided – this includes the use of sunbeds. Sun protection lotion should always be applied prior to daylight exposure.

Discuss with your practitioner before receiving any beauty, skin, medical or laser treatments.

Aesthetic products, such as facial dermal fillers, dissolve over time. The results and correction will not last forever. Regular top up treatments will help to maintain your appearance.
